AHEPA Power District #4 Governor Christ Megoulas represented our Brotherhood at the March 25th Greek Independence Day celebration at the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg on Tuesday, April 6th.
The event opened with a prayer by Fr. Michael Varvarellis, followed by remarks from District Governor Megoulas and members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, including Rep. Steve Malagai, who spoke about Greece’s historical struggle for freedom.
Highlights included a performance by the Olympic Flame Dancers, and attendees witnessed the signing of House Bill 50, officially declaring March 25th as Greek Independence Day in Harrisburg, PA. A proud moment for Hellenism in America!
